DEDICATION OF THE STEFFEN BOULDERING WALL AT CAMP LONG LAKE

Some of the photos on the fron page are from the August 13th dedication of the Steffen Boundering Wall. Glenn Steffen was a long time Scoutmaster from Watertown to whom the wall was dedicated.. The Potawatomi Area Council is now part of Area 7 of the Central Region of the Boy Scouts of America. Also included in Area 7 are The Chicago Area Council (Chicago), The Three Fires Council (St Charles, IL), Northeast Illinois Council (Highland Park, IL), Des Plaines Valley Council (La Grange, IL), The Glaciers Edge Council (Madison), The Gateway Area Council (Appleton), The Samoset Council (Weston, WI), The Milwaukee County Council (Milwaukee),The Southeast WIsconsin Council (Racine), The Bay Lakes Council (Appleton), and The Chippewa Valley Council (Eau Claire).

PLANNING AND PREPARING FOR HAZARDOUS WEATHER TRAINING

Beginning January 1, 2009, at least one tour/trip leader will be required to have taken Planning and Preparing for Hazardous Weather Training. The Local Tour Permit (found in the "Resources" section) has a space for the information. Training can be taken on-line. Click on "Training" above.
